How school kills creativity
http://www.ted.com/talks/ken_robinson_says_schools_kill_creativity

My Topic:

"Is the creativity learned in school or innate?"

What I hope to learn from this source:

This video leaded me to write an essay about this thesis. Also, it's really related to my thesis, and the opposition of my argument. Thus I think I could find the way to enhance creativity in school by analyzing this video and thinkin about implications he gives.

Notes:
  1. Creativity = the process of thinking unique and brilliant which can create value.        I think it's similar with mine, but I think it's better.
  2. The reason he says school kills creativity :                                                            1. school doesn't accept mistake                                                                             2. school doesn't care about anything such as dance, arts other than things done by brain.

Final Thoughts:
Well.. he talks about problems I've thought. He says school always have priority on math, English, Korean, Science or Social studies. Thus childrens who are not interested in those are considered as troublemakers, cannot have opportunity to show their competence in other fields, and suppressed to not do what they are interested in. Thus, children's creativity is killed. They have to answer the things in textbook. Also, he said school doesn't accept mistakes which is the opportunity for growth. Everything he talks about is true, and it's true that school kills creativity in this term. However If children are intersted in the things done by brain they could enhance creativity. Also, nowadays, there's a system for students to find their talent among all fields by spending one year without studying for entering colleges in Korea. It's what I write a paper about. Thus I think I can use research on that system for supporting my points. The atmosphere of school is slowly changing toward accepting mistakes. I could support it by using my own experience(?)
